'Mask'eteers

‘MASK’ETEERS                         -Sobi Wilson   The world so full of ‘Mask’ateers with a view so blurred of tears Frightened though with unseen fears Will fight so hard to bring our cheers.   Masking us from air we breathe Missing all the smiles we meet Meeting loved ones, big a feat Will conquer it and have a treat   Together are we in this fight Can’t stay closer, is the plight. Tunnel seems longer for the light, But soon will see it shining bright.             Marked our boundaries, caged our Gods Claimed and Reclaimed with our swords. All are masked and boundaries fade. Let's fight for all like a true 'Mask'eteer.

The BlacQ Warrior and the Purple Island

Scene 1 Trinnngg.. Trinnnggg... The shrillness of the alarm clock woke me up... It is unusually cold and I did a futile attempt to find the alarm clock with the blankets still on. "But who has set the alarm clock. I normally keep the alarm in my phone" "Btw, today is Saturday and I couldn't recollect any early work." It was loud enough to interrupt my thoughts too. For a moment I sympathized with my kids who wakes up every day to this alarm. I slowly peeped out of the blanket and was a little frightened to see three pairs of eyes staring at me. "What happened?" I jumped out of the bed. Dad, Mom and Dimple extended their debit cards to me. "What happened? Where are you all going, handing over me all these?" "We are not going anywhere, you are going to the ATM" Dad was once again the strict father after a long time. "Really? It is still dark out there. What is the time? 5:00am? Have you a

The Kiss of Missing Love and The Love for Missing Kiss

Deepak is spending a lazy Saturday morning, with his late coffee and newspaper. From front page to last including sports is more to do with politics, power, publicity and posters, than the real news. For those who are not interested in this, news paper reading has become a ritual. The shameless sensationalization of  every incidents tragic, comic or trivial has made it a monotonous affair.  He is almost back to sleep. A loud scream put an end to his thoughts and half sleep. It is from his 7 year old daughter Diya. Screams and shouts has become a routine stuff at home.  Result of unsophisticated parenting that both Deepak and his wife Dimple blame each other. "Can you please have a look at what are the kids up to?" shouted Dimple from the kitchen.
